And on the 37th Day...

37 days after he was born, and my Atticus has his face all to himself. No oxygen support, and no (facial) feeding tube. No stickers on the side of his face to hold things in place. No bili sunglasses. Not even a hat. Just his adorable face.

Come home, baby Atticus!

Damien celebrated his 37th day (and night...) with the worst reflux we've had yet. If we put him down for even one minute, he cries or vomits. (Or both.) I got no sleep at all last night, and my mother had a rough time of it baby sitting while I visited the NICU.

Oh my word, what I wouldn't give to be kept up at night by both my babies' screams under one roof.

Yeah Atticus!!! Wonderful news!

One of my twins started with horrible reflux at around the same time. Do you have a bouncy seat? I ask because I found if I kept my son at just the right recline for about 15-20 minutes after each feeding it helped incredibly with both the crying and vomiting. I would feed him, pop him into the bouncy seat, and feed #2. We also put him in the swing to sleep at night because it also had the right incline, and it was the only thing that worked.

YAY for Atticus! Wonderful news to get this Friday morning. I'm thrilled to hear this.

I second the bouncy seat or a swing to help with reflux after a feed; it really helped our daughter if she got 15-20 mins semi-upright to help digestion.

Yeah for Atticus and Yeah for you now that you get to see his beautiful face free of everything.

My boys must just be screamers...they both have reflux, we keep them upright for a half hour after feedings but at night they won't allow us to put them in a swing, boppy, bouncer, anything...they just want to be held.
I hope you get to have both boys home very soon.

All 3 of my kids had reflux. You have my sympathies. For us, Zantac was a life saver. We didn't manage to get it for our first, but I'll never forget the first time we gave it to our 2nd. She went from screaming all night to sleeping two 4 hour stretches. The difference was amazing. All 3 of mine were also dairy allergic, and they had more reflux problems when I accidentally ingested dairy.

You are doing a great job, hang in there, and here's to Atticus coming home soon.

So glad Atticus is making progress! You and your boys have often been in my thoughts of late. Hope you have them both home soon.

So glad to hear about fighting Atticus, Marissa. And I hope that having both your babies under one roof happens very, very quickly.

(So sorry to hear about Damien's reflux, though. A friend's daughter is suffering with this too. Miserable:(
