Pictures

This is Atticus, on his first night.

This is Atticus now, when he's not under the lights.

This is me, as a baby. I do think my Atticus looks like I did.

And here is Damien, on his first night.

And this is Damien now, not wanting to eat.

Oh, what adorable wee fellows! Or you know, one wee and one not-so-wee fellow, but they're so handsome! I love Damien's deeply skeptical face in the last one.

And as for the making enough milk for one baby - keep demanding more of your bosom, and it may rise to the challenge yet. In the beginning, I also had low supply, and my milk took its time coming in. If Mr Skeptical up there shapes up enough to try eating at the source that will help. In the meantime, I'm sure you have lactation consultants telling you this, but just in case your hospital is not so forthcoming with the LC advice, in these early days pump (and maybe try to hand-express after) every 2 hours save a longer (4-5 hour) stretch at night. I know it was hard to find the time with ONE hospitalized baby, so I can imagine it's much harder for you, but make your husband or phone remind you. Don't hesitate to pump while you're meeting with doctors - you will not be the first. :)

They are luscious little chaps! So sorry they are having a hard time of things - poor poppets.

Thinking of you.
