23w2d: Drama over

Wanna know what the new peri measures my Atticus at? 23rd percentile.

And Damien's in the 54th.

Right where they've been all along.

I am so thankful, and so...emotionally drained. We're now back to having our main concerns being Atticus's placenta and its over-friendliness with my funneling cervix (which is still very long, thank you).

Expect future blog posts about how I'm learning to knit (badly) and my newfound and shameful love of reality TV. It won't be more exciting than that around here anymore.

Thank you all so much for your kind words, thoughts, prayers, etc. during this whirl-wind nightmare of a time.

I'm sorry you had to go through that but at LEAST it was over relatively quickly. At least it wasn't "Oh we can't get you in for two weeks for a second opinion!"

Wow, missed this drama.

So sorry you had such a scare, but so happy for you that all is well.

Pregnancy is a pretty anxious time, even when it's a 'normal' pregnancy, so you can really do without people making such alarming mistakes and scaring the crap out of you.

I hope you have a better time with your new doctors.

Hurray!!!

And there's not a blessed thing wrong with 23rd percentile... or the 14th percentile. After all, percentiles by their definition mean someone has to fall below and above them. It's not like babies are being graded on their performance like it's the SATs or anything.

So glad you have a new MFM practice that is a bit more thorough and forthcoming with the data and also less likely to come to "oooh, an inconsistent data point, let's get on operation Micropreemies asap!" conclusions.

I hope you have a stupidly boring rest of pregnancy to make up for the drama.

Ok, good. Glad things are under control. I am happy to recommend some reality shows-real housewives of Atlanta is just starting, and if you happen to come across my big fat gypsy wedding on tlc I recommend watching that circus in it's entirety. Sending you positive thoughts-
